Birds are willing messengers for spirit and they are the inspiration for this short poem. I wrote it for a friend a few years ago after she lost her mother.

Spirit asks the bird…Will you fly for me?

Fly to the side of those who miss me…tell them I am well…I am whole

Tell them I am with them…even though they cannot see

I am the wind…the rain…the sun…the moon…I am the song of birds

I love you and will always be near…open your heart…..Listen and hear…the song of birds…the peace it brings

Do not cry for me…for I am free…rejoice for me…I am free!
